21 Days of Prayer Leading up to Easter

On Sunday, March 10th, 2024, we will begin a prayer focus for the 21 days leading up to Easter. Below, you will find a passage of Scripture and a prayer prompt for each day and we invite you to join us as we take time each day to pray. Please also check out our social media platforms for daily prayer prompts.

 

 

WEEK ONE

Sunday, March 10 • Devotion to Prayer • Romans 8:26-27 - pray for your own devotion to prayer in your life... that you would commit to pray over the next 21 days... that you would be faithful in praying each day to make the Gospel known to our community.

Monday, March 11 • Purity and Repentance • Luke 24:45-47 - pray for your own purity and repentance...reflect on the price Christ paid for you on the cross, thank Him for salvation, and pray that you would repent from any sin in your life.

Tuesday, March 12 • Dedication to Holiness • 2 Corinthians 7:1 - pray for your own personal holiness... pray that the Lord would shine light on any unconfessed sin in your life... pray that you would live a life of holiness.

Wednesday, March 13 • Be Reconciled • 2 Corinthians 5:20 - pray for the Lord to show you any areas in your life where you need to be reconciled to someone... pray the Lord would give you courage and humility to seek reconciliation.

Thursday, March 14 • Thanksgiving • 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 - pray with thanksgiving to the Lord, no matter what circumstances you face... thank the Lord for His faithfulness in your life, for His grace toward you, and for the salvation we have in Christ.

Friday, March 15 • Pray with Confidence • Hebrews 4:14-16 - pray with confidence that Christ, Who is our high priest, grants us access to the throne to lay our burdens before Him... pray with boldness, having full assurance of God’s faithfulness.

Saturday, March 16 • Be the Light • Acts 13:47 - pray that you may be a light in the world... pray for an opportunity to invite someone to our Easter service, and that as you live each day, the light of Christ would show through you.

 

WEEK TWO

Sunday, March 17 • Corporate Prayer Effort • Romans 12:12 - pray for our church’s dedication to praying for one another and the lost in our community... pray that we would be faithful to pray with confidence in the Lord.

Monday, March 18 • Corporate Faithfulness • Hebrews 10:23 - pray for our church to be faithful in praying... pray that we will share the gospel with confidence and hold to the truth we proclaim... pray for faithfulness in all circumstances.

Tuesday, March 19 • Boldness in Prayer • 2 Corinthians 3:12 - pray that our church would boldly pray for God to do big things... pray that our church would boldly proclaim the gospel and pray for one another.

Wednesday, March 20 • Corporate Grace • Ephesians 4:7 - pray for our church to have grace with one another, recognizing that it is the same Gospel and same grace that unites us... pray that we would extend grace to one another when needed.

Thursday, March 21 • Corporate Evangelism • 1 Corinthians 9:23 - pray for opportunities for our church to share the Gospel, either corporately or individually... pray that we would be “all things to all people” for the sake of the Gospel.

Friday, March 22 • Thankfulness For Our Church • Romans 1:8 - thank the Lord for the brothers and sisters of NRBC... thank Him for allowing our church to be united under the Gospel to carry out our mission to make disciples that make disciples.

Saturday, March 23 • Redemption Heights, Great Joy, and Pillar Network Churches • 1 Corinthians 15:58 - pray for the gospel ministries of Redemption Heights, Great Joy, and our partner churches with the Pillar Network.

 

WEEK THREE 

Sunday, March 24 • Believers in our Community • Ephesians 4:1-3 - pray for other believers in our community to also look for opportunities to share the Gospel... pray that they too would seek unity within their churches for the sake of the Gospel.

Monday, March 25 • Our Leaders • 1 Timothy 2:1-4 - pray for our local, state, and national leaders... that the truth of the Gospel would drive their decisions and that those who are lost would hear the Gospel and put their trust in Jesus.

Tuesday, March 26 • Conviction of Sin • John 16:7-9 - pray that those who are caught in the snare of sin would feel the conviction of the Holy Spirit and seek to repent and be saved.

Wednesday, March 27Day of Fasting • Philippians 4:4-8 - as we fast today, pray through the prayer guide again, praising God for answered prayers... pray that He would continue to answer our collective prayers for ourselves, our church, and our community.

Thursday, March 28 • Other Area Churches • Philippians 1:3-6 - pray for the other Gospel-preaching churches in our community to faithfully proclaim the Gospel on Easter and for the lost that attend their services to believe and be saved.

Friday, March 29 • Salvation of the Lost • Hebrews 10:19-22 - pray that those who encounter the gospel on Sunday would respond in faith... pray that they would trust in their salvation with full assurance of the Gospel.

Saturday, March 30 • He is Known by Our Love • 1 John 4:7-11 - pray that we would show God’s love to those who we meet for the first time tomorrow... pray that God’s love would be evident as we interact with guests and visitors for the first time tomorrow.
