The End will be Unmistakable (Luke 21:25-28)

• Catastrophic signs
• The Visible Return of the Son of Man
• Reactions
  • The Nations will respond to this day with dread
  • Disciples can greet this day with hope

The End is Certain (Luke 21:29-33)

• Disciples should watch for the signs
• Opposition will continue until the end
• Jesus’ teachings are more permanent than heaven and earth

The End Will be Sudden (Luke 21:34-36)

• Disciples must remain faithful
• Disciples must remain prayerful

The End is Near (Luke 21:37-38)

• A Setup for Betrayal
• A Setup for Rejection

So What?

• Good News: The Coming of the Son of Man will be the consummation of the Kingdom of God, and the occasion of the redemption of all faithful disciples of Jesus Christ.
• Our job isn’t to predict the Day of the Lord, but to keep watch, stand fast, and prayerfully trust in God’s timing with the reassurance that, one day, our deliverance will surely come!
