We cannot understand the rest of the Proverbs unless we appropriately apply Solomon’s instructions to his son

The world in its right place

  Proverbs 4:14, 15


The Obvious Marks of a Wisdom Centered Life

Proverbs 10:2-32


Wisdom guided perspective on work and money 

  Proverbs 10:2-5

  Proverbs 10:15, 16

  Proverbs 10:22, 26


Wisdom guided words and relationships

  Proverbs 10:6-14

  Proverbs 10:18-21

  Proverbs 10:31, 32


Wisdom guided decision making 

  Proverbs 10:17, 23


Wisdom guided assurance

  Proverbs 10:24, 25, 27-30


So What?

To rightly obey any of the proverbs, we must first be transformed by the one who is the source of all true wisdom.

  Ephesians 2:10


Further Discussion

 Why is it dangerous to disconnect Proverbs 10-31 from the first 9 chapters?

 What’s the difference between rightly obeying the proverbs and considering them “good advice?”
