The purpose of the Children’s Ministry is to partner with families in discipling children (grades 1 to 5) to learn who God is and who they are in light of who God is.
Kids Worship (1st-3rd Grade) 9:30am
Parents who choose for their younger elementary kids to attend Kid's Worship will need to check them before the service starts in the Worship Center Lobby or Preschool Check-In Area. Kids will attend the music portion of our worship service with their families and then meet the Kid's Worship leader in the back of the Worship Center when we transition to the preaching portion of the service. 1st - 3rd graders who attend Kid's Worship will then go to our Children's Ministry area to sing more songs, and be taught an age-appropriate lesson from God's Word. 4th and 5th graders may remain with their parents for the duration of the worship service. Parent's can pick their kids up from the Kid's Worship room after service or after small group.
Small Groups 11:00am
Like all other small groups at NRBC, our elementary kids' small groups study the Bible using The Gospel Project. This ensures that everyone, no matter their age, studies the same Bible passage each week in small group. Kids' small groups all meet upstairs in our Children's Ministry Area, and classes are divided by grade. Parents of 1st - 3rd graders will need to check their kids in for small group before sending them to Kid's Worship or small group.
Equip Kids (1st-5th Grade) 6:15pm
Equip Kids focuses on teaching basic Bible doctrines to kids in a way that is fun and understandable for them. We currently utilize New City Catechism during Equip Kids which teaches a different basic Bible doctrine a week. Kids learn the doctrine through fun activities, Bible stories, crafts, and interacting with one another.
