Cause of Our Living Hope

3a Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy,

Titus 3:5

3b he has caused us to be born again to a living hope

John 3:3-8

3c through the resurrection of Jesus from the dead,

Object of Our Living Hope

4-5a to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading kept in heaven for you who by God’s power are being
guarded

Imperishable means not subject to decay
I Timothy 1:17
I Peter 1:23

Undefiled means cannot become stained by sin
Hebrews 7:26

Unfading means it will last forever
I Peter 5:4

5 through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Ephesians 2:8

Testing of Our Living Hope

6 In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials,

James 1:2

7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith - more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire - may
be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
